Membership fee

All members of IJCE pay a subscription to fund all the activities the association organizes. The subscription consists of three parts:

  • General association membership fee.
  • Accommodation fee for sports in which someone participates, and for which IJCE has to rent accommodation.
  • Training fee for sports in which the member trains under supervision of an IJCE trainer. The fee per training decreases as the number of supervised trainings increases, to stimulate members to join training sessions.

A convenient form is available to help you calculate the membership fee (and if so desired, it can be used to become a member):

Subscription principles

All subscriptions are age-dependent. Subscriptions for different groups are counted down from subscription fee for adults as follows:

Age category Percentage (*)
Children up to and including 12 years of age 50%
Youth 13 up to and incl. 18 years,
Students up to and incl. 27 years,
Veterans from 76 years of age
75%
Adults 19 up to and incl. 75 years of age 100%
(*) Age on July 1st.

Membership fees are collected at the start of the association's year (June first), after the new fees are decided on during the AGM. Fees for lessons and activities are collected at the start of the lessons or activity chosen.

Trainers, carers, and volunteers who do not skate do not pay membership fees. They receive a membership card and are thus able to enter the speed skate rink during IJCE's skating hours. Honorary members do not pay membership fees nor lesson fees. Every family is entitled to a discount of 25% on the membership and lesson fees from the fourth person belonging to the family who joins the association (based on house address). This discount is only applicable at the start of the season: additional family members who join IJCE during the skating season pay the normal membership fee. Not included in this discount are activities such as summer camp and skate challenge, and renting of skates.

Only members are entitled to participate in activities of the association.

The local council often has a sport support system for families with low income. Such support sometimes includes financial benefits for adults as well as children. Support can be requested from the so-called jeugdsportfonds specifically for children. See www.jeugdsportfonds.nl for details.

To become acquainted with our sports, it is possible to get an introductory lesson free of charge for all sports mentioned below. You can apply for the introductory lesson online.

General association membership fee

Every member pays a general membership fee, that is used to maintain the association and pay for social activities. A general membership provides access to the different sports and social activities IJCE organizes. Participation in the different sports and social activities is only possible with the general membership. Each member subscribes and pays the fees per sport they want to do (see below).

New members pay a registration fee of € 5,00 and agree to automatic bank collection of the fees. Current members that do not use automatic bank collection pay an extra € 10,00 on top of the membership fee. Authorizing automatic bank collection is effected through emailing the membership administrator the IBAN number, full name, place of residence and membership number.
