Principles of membership

Membership fees are decided on during the AGM in May and depend on members age on July first. Adults age 19 upto and including 75 years of age pay full price. The other fees are calculated from that fee according to the table given below:

Fees per age category
Children up to and including 12 years of age   50%

Youth 13 up to and including 18 years of age;

Students up to and including 27 years of age;

Veterans from 76 years of age

  75%
Adults age 19 up to and including 75 years of age 100%
Age of member on July first.

Membership fees are collected at the start of the association's year, from the first of June, after the new fees are decided on during the AGM. Fees for lessons and activities are collected at the start of the lessons or activity chosen.

Trainers, carers, and volunteers who do not skate do not pay membership fees. They receive a membership card and are thus able to enter the speedskate rink during IJCE's skating hours. Honorary members do not pay either membership fees nor lesson fees. Every family is entitled to a discount of 25% on the membership and lesson fees for the fourth or more person belonging to the family who joins the association (based on house address). Not included in this discount are activities such as summer camp and skate challenge.

Non-IJCE members can join lessons in short track skating, inline skating and some other activities (see below for details and prices). Non-members pay only for the lessons chosen, but the fee is higher. Non-members cannot participate in (free) activities organized by IJCE, nor are they allowed to vote during the AGM.

The local council often has a sport support system for families with low income. Such support sometimes includes financial benefits for adults as well as children. Support can be requested from the so-called jeugdsportfonds specifically for children. See www.jeugdsportfonds.nl for details.

To become acquainted with our sports, it is possible to get an introductory lesson free of charge for all sports mentioned below. You can apply for the introductory lesson online.
