Skating and disability

IJCE offers several skating options for people with disabilities. As a rule these so-called G-skaters ride and train with their usual age groups, where the trainer tries to meet the G-skater's needs. When this is not an option, the skater can join the five special training sessions with the G-skate-group on Sunday morning. This group currently consists of visually impaired skaters. IJCE encourages other disabled riders to come into contact to discuss skating options, such as skating with a buddy, communication cards etc.

Let us know if you would like to practice ice skating despite your disability! We can discuss your options to come to possible skating ideas. Apply for an introductory lessen by registering via the form using the button below. Please place your special needs in the space provided.
